Personal Ethics Paper
Big picture: Write a four-five reflection paper. For this assignment, you will jot down your reflections as you work through the Baird Decision Model
that is based upon Lonergans work. The model is pictured on Page 2 of this document.
The paper should demonstrate that you have thought through the strengths, challenges, and opportunities of your primary ethical lens as
determined by your ELI results. After writing that section of the paper, write your own personal code of ethics, where you describe the values that are the most important to you and the specific behaviors that flow from those values.
Details: As you write your personal code of ethics:
1. Keep the statement simple and clear. Make sure you use words that you understand and have meaning for you.
2. Keep your statements positive: focus on your strengths and your ethical aspirations.
3. Your statement should touch upon who you are (your character) and the values that have a significant and/or positive impact on your life.
4. Include behaviors and character traits that you consider particularly important or ones you want to develop further.
Formatting, referencing and grammar
5. Citations and references to credible media are a vital part of this assignment. Citations need to include the author(s) last name and the date. For
any direct quotes, the citation must also include the page or paragraph number (for webpages). References need to include the author(s) last name
and first initial, date of the publication, title of the media and where it may be found, ie journal, book chapter, video, etc. Include the URL if possible.
6. Please carefully edit your work as points will be deducted for grammatical and formatting errors.
7. Submit work in a double-spaced WORD document. Use Calibri font, size 12 and 1 margins. Include a title page with the document and page
numbers, upper right. Not counting the title page or reference list (on a separate page please), the narrative should be 4

No aspects of the required answer are missing. Use of Sources (worth a maximum of 20% of the total points). Zero points: Student failed to include citations and/or references. Or the student failed to submit a final paper. 5 out 20 points: Sources are seldom cited to support statements and/or format of citations are not recognizable as APA 6th Edition format.
